More control over digital licenses

What changed?

Digital product settings now support license profiles, profile versions, an EAN limit and multiple Stripe prices. Monthly and annual prices can point to different profile versions, for example with different validity periods.

Benefit

You can sell variants of one digital product without creating separate product cards. A change to the limit, period or generator becomes a new version and does not change licenses that were already issued.

How to use it

Create a profile and active version in license settings, then link it to the digital product and the relevant Stripe prices. Set an EAN limit on the product if the license should pass it to the application.

Important limitations

An empty EAN limit means that this capability is not included. Only documented capability fields are supported; new capabilities cannot be added by entering arbitrary text. Verify the complete production and sandbox flow before publishing.
