Kiero Store: reserve stock while the customer pays

Kiero Store reserves available stock during checkout and safely releases it after a failed or expired payment.

Kiero Store: reserve stock while the customer pays

What changed?

Kiero Store now uses a separate inventory reservation during checkout. It first checks the current price, currency and availability, then creates a temporary hold. After a verified payment the hold is confirmed; after a failed or expired payment it is released.

Benefit

Two customers should not buy the same last item simply because they started checkout at the same time. The reservation reduces availability for other carts but does not change physical stock until payment is confirmed.

How to use it

No extra option is required. During a Kiero Store purchase, the system runs quote → reserve → payment → confirm. If checkout fails or expires, Store releases the hold and the product becomes available again.

Important limitations

The reservation is temporary and lasts 30 minutes. Confirmation requires a verified payment webhook and a saved order. A real provider payment, refund and shipment were not part of the latest production smoke test.
